Use Sketchup Components in Revit

plantskp component in Revit

If you want to bring the sketchup models or components into Revit , Do not directly import the component into the Project file instead bring it in as a family file. So import it in the family template eg of Entourage.rft template if you want the component of people from skp to Revit.

Go to create a new Family of here a Entourage, Insert Tab—Import CAD—Choose files of type .skp from the list & choose your component of sketchup.

Save the file & Load into Project & use instances of the family. This will reduce the file size rather than importing it directly & copying manu times in the project file.
